Hello,

I was on the chat recently with an issue and it is still continuing.

I did the 4POSSqlExeUpgrades and when I tried to open the backoffice a message came up saying cannot find location. I was advised on the chat to download an earlier update which I apparently had not done and then return to do the more recent update. After downloading the earlier download I am still not able to open the backoffice; I am still getting the message location cannot be found. Also when I try to open the domain controller it says the domain controller must be open from the server. I am completely lost and not sure what I must do next. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

We are redeveloping the barcode printing & design.

Should be ready in the next week.

Obviously that is only for version 18.4 or later...

Hi Markus.

On the Barcode Printing we are not able to use the 4POSBarcode.exe file anymore after upgrading to the much improved new and great SQL version.
We use this as it allows the offset on printing for the Bixolon Barcode Printer (SRP-770).

If we use the Barcode Printing option in the BackOffice it does not give us the desired results to allign the printed text.
As soon as I create a new barcode and try to change the allignment I get the BOF-EOF error.

Any advice ?

Dirk

After deliberation & discussing with many of our customers, it has been decided that this is simply not a good idea...

R9.99 would become R10.09...

R56.99 would become R57.49?

Most customers would effect the changes manually as part of a normal price increase & simply not do a global 1% increase...

In the next few days we will be developing a VAT utility to increase all your "Price Override" items - that is items that has a Override price on the system with 1%

This utility will only run on the SQL version of 4POS - version 18.3.7.20 ....

We will cater for the normal rounding rules on the utility eg. Round items to the closest 10c etc.

More info to follow soon....

Our new 4POS installer - allows an upgrade from ANY 4POS version.

Simply download & install the NEW installeer on the original server pc & it will convert your database from the old to the new automatically.

If you are using a NEW server pc - one that doesn't have a 4POS installed previously :

1. Download & install the new CD4POS.
2. Ensure 4POSBackoffice opens up as normal - click on register later.
3. Create a folder c:\4possupport\mdb
4. Copy ALL your old MDB files to that folder. (Including the month files!)
5. Open the 4POSBackoffice.exe again - it will now convert the old mdb files to the MsSql database.
6. Once completed, Open the 4POSBackoffice & enjoy...

Simple...
