Getting an error 9 - subscript out of range on your 4POS Domain Controller?

It is time for an upgrade to our new 4POS version.

Voucher lookups will only be available till December 2017.

Thereafter, you would need to purchase new licences.

After all, we have given customers more than a year now!

Imagine having the feature / option to change the description.

You can simply sell a coffee & change it to a T-bone steak or Crystal Vase worth R5000...

Far too risky. You can use an "open Item" concept which prompts you for the price or better yet, create the other items in a seperate department so you can monitor sales & performance.

We are using 4Pos for our coffee shop, at times we sell other items e.g. gifts, antiques and books.  is there an option to make a sale and then type in a description of the items sold?

Another issue :

Logged into a customer where "everything" disappeared. The clever tech had Microsoft Essentials & AVG installed on the same pc......

If your 4POS system is asking for a voucher number to register, it is obviously not the correct database.

Suggest you restore the backup & check all settings to point to the correct database.

We can assist - support contracts are fully in force now.

Can never understand why the fact that customers have been duped by a supposed dealer now becomed the fault of the software.

If a backyard mechanic does a bad job on servicing a BMW, does the BMW now become a bad car?

The fact that the database is so big tells you that the customer is not doing dayends / monthends.

Hi,

A couple of weeks ago every time we tried to open the back office we would receive a message stating that stated that the version we were running on was outdated and required an update. We ran the latest update and when we tried to open the back office it asked for the voucher number. I put in the voucher number and was informed that the number was already used. I am not sure what we can do from here...Hope you can help  :) :'(

Not sure how you compact your database if it stays on 2gb. Use MsAccess - safer...

If that still does not work we can log in. Standard teamviewer charge of R800.

We often get criticized for charging for support - would your mechanic or doctor work for free?

4POS SUPPORT

Thank you for the online support I received today. I was sure I had lost all of my backups but Support managed to get my system back online without me losing any data.

The only problem that remains is the fact that since my last Windows update, my usb does not detect my POS printer.  I have been checking online for solutions without success.  Please assist urgently as I cannot finish transactions (my till does not open and I cannot print).

Dear admin

I have had a problem with my printer/cash drawer after the last upgrade.  I then downloaded the update that was posted earlier today.  Now I have a BLANK Backoffice (all my stock, license etc is blank).  I do backups daily.  Please assist asap as I cannot do anything and my business is totally dependent on 4POS

The Latest & Greatest!

This is our new BETA version of 4POS.

In future, we will release a BETA (TEST) version in advance of the official release.

The purpose of this is to alleviate the issue of errors that may have crept in when we have done our extensive testing.

In this version, we have added the following Major Changes :

1. 4POSTouch now has the feature of adding gif pictures to the buttons. Text & pics available on same button!
2. 4POSScan now has the feature of showing a pic of the item that you are selling.... has been asked years ago, & we have now implemented it. Ideal for our material merchants that wishes to see a pic of the product as they are selling it!
3. Dealer request : item search on Stock take adjustments.
4. Buffers (Memory) cleared on reports when you have selected a product.
5. Ditto for barcode printing.
6. VAT report currency sign & spelling.
7. GRV sub-total not displayed correctly.
8. 4POSTouch Counter not displayed correctly from first sale.
9. Allocate payments to Invoice - screen size increased to allow for easier editing.
10. 4POSScan & 4POSTouch - Cards, Chqs, Payout field size increased to cater for 6 digits before the decimal.
11. Process GRV - barcode and/or quick key not printed.
12. Monthend show complete whilst still processing.
13. 4POSBackup improved for Winrar & 2nd PC options.
14. New floor layout design program - lets please fix all those ugly layouts!!
15. Automatic screensaver when 4POSTouch is idle.

We have now started redeveloping 4POS on Microsoft Sequel Express. we should achieve a 50% increase on performance across all programs. No more compacts on databases, better stability!

ETA for end of 2017 / beginning 2018!
