Loyalty points & vouchers!

HI

Is there away i can do  Loyalty points & vouchers!

You can create vouchers as "Deposits" on the system.

When you sell it to a customer, you will do a reversal as a deposit is naturally negative.

When they then redeem the voucher, it will be as a credit on the bill.

Loyalty - Not even PnP can get it right - so all you clever people - give us some ideas.

The issue is this :

1. Points needs to be assigned to each product. - problem : If a customer has 15,000+ items - how often will he need to go & check these points? A Wizard - like our re-order wizard will be the only way.
2. How will the points be awarded? Will it be a flat qty of points per sales & what value will these points have? R1 for every 1,000 points? or 100?
3. If a product is on promotion - how is the points affected?
4. If you are selling on a different sales channel - ditto.
5. If a product is sold as part of a bundle (Family deal consisting of Maize meal, sugar, coffee, coke) how is the points of individual items affected?

With 18,000+ customers & all the different rules of business - we would like to develop a system to cater for all - not just a few.

Almost 2 years later & we are ready for some new development...

As you might know, 4POS does customer loyalty in the following way :

1. Create a new sales channel for eg. VIP customers.
2. Set the percentages for this sales channel under the pricing group rules.
2. Create a debtor & assign this sales channel to that debtor. This could be a group account EG. Pensioners or Schools or...
3. Ensure this customer's terms are marked as COD to enforce cash sales only.
4. Do the sale & then press F6 - account sales to activate the new channel pricing.

Easy & brilliant.

We welcome inputs from you to ascertain whether it is viable to develop a point system or is this sufficient.

What we need to consider is the following :

1. Web based or in store only?
2. Points / percentages should be linked to the costs & selling. No point in cutting your bottom line.
3. From what amount of sales should the points be applicable.
4. Points to be shown on the till slip.
5. How to redeem - as a discount / value voucher?
6. How must promotions on these products effect the points? Or, promotion items do not have points?
7. How to identify the customer - Cell number / card / bio metrics (Fingerprint)?

Carwash scenario. After x carwashes customer gets the next one free
Have to accumulate and store the number of carwashes per customer.
Found a solution. Add 1 cent to customer's account payment. When balance shows 7 cents customer gets 8th carwash for free

4POS now has an inbuilt Loyalty system that will allow you to enable all or specific items to add loyalty points...

Loyalty can now be redeemed on the next purchase
