We have had a few enquiries on how to configure & set up teraoka DS780/2 scales with 4POS & here is a couple of pointers.
1. Ensure that the DS780 scale has been programmed by your SCALE supplier in "Streaming mode" & with a BAUD rate of 9600. Furthermore the scale HAS to be connected to COM1. If you are using any other port - change the usage of this to COM1. In other words - the scale will keep on sending the weights to the PC. To test this - Go into Hyperterminal (Under Accessories) & test this.
2. Go into 4POSScan or 4POSTouch & enable "Use DS-780" under option 8 - "Scale options"
3. Configure your product/s in 4POS to be set up as "Scale Item" & "Fractions Allowed"
4. Do the Update POS & then TEST!
