Using 4POS in a Dry Cleaner

Although 4POS does not specifically cater for Dry Cleaners, it can be used quite easily in the Dry Cleaning business :

Option 1. (Sale on account)

1.1. Create an account for your customer & specify terms as 30 days
1.2. Ring up the sale / Invoice as per normal
1.3. Finalise the sale to the account.
1.4. When the customer collects, simply do an account payment.

This way you will also keep track of your customers for marketing purposes!

Option 2 : (Quote Sale)

2.1. Ring up a quote sale (Alt-F12 in 4POSScan)
2.2. When the customer collects - retrieve the quote & finalise.

Option 3 : (Consignment sale)

3.1. Ring up a consignment sale (Alt-F12 in 4POSScan)
3.2. When the customer collects - retrieve the quote & finalise.

Option 4 : (Delivery sales in 4POSTouch)

4.1. In 4POSbackoffice - Store setup - General parameters & option 6  - select "Dry Cleaning Customer"
4.2. Ring up your sales as "Delivery sale" with customer number as reference.
4.3. Now with cashup, 4POS will not check for open tables & allow the cashup (Outstanding sales) to be ignored.
4.4. When the customer returns, your "delivery" sale will still be on screen & available to finalise.
