Title: How do i install my posiflex usb pole display in 4pos?

i have copied and pasted the usbpd.dll file to my system32 folder but pole display will not display in 4pos.
When i reboot the pole display responds showing name, mode and version.

i am having the same problem with pole display. it never worked since the installation of the pos system
where can i find the usbpd.dll file if not on the cd that came with the software??

I have copied the USBPD.DLL file here : www.4pos.co.za/Software/USBPD.DLL

Copy the file into Windows\system32 folder.

Please remember this is ONLY for the Posiflex Pole Display! Also, please ensure ther Posiflex is set to standard - Epson Mode.

The in 4POS - set the Pole display to USB & Pole display supports "Plain Text"

What of the serial Gsan pole Display? how do i set it up

All serial Pole displays work the same way - through a serial port. You need to determine which serial port your pole display is connected to.

4POS works best if your serial pole display is set up as "Aedex Mode".

On a Posiflex Pole Display, you need to set the dip switches on the back of the display to achieve this & with the GSAN pole display, use the software drivers on the GSAN CD.

Please assist. Just installed POS on a Windows 32bit system. Copied the USBPD.DLL to the c:\windows\system32 folder. Connected USB Posiflex pole display, configured it Aedex Mode, but the sytem does not pick it up. In 4Posscan it also does not give me a USB option, only serial ports. Do I have to install drivers or something?

If 4POSScan does not show a USB option - it is a VERY OLD version!

Ensure you are running the latest version.

I have upgraded to the latest version, now see the USB option, but it is still not recognised. Anything else I can look for?

Once you have selected the USB, please close 4POSScan & re-open it.

It should show your company name.

Still nothing, should the display be configured for Aedex Mode or Epson mode?

I have a Bematech ld 1000 pole display. when i install it and configure the right serial port on 4posscan it just goes blank from the normal default display message. what do i do to make it work?

Pole displays are difficult by design.

I suggest you contact a dealer to assist you with the configuration.

Negotiate prices first...

I got all my pole displays up and running with 4pos.
