guys please help. i ran a month end and all reports for last month are showing zeros. seems all sales are missing. how do i fix this. :'(

I presume you are running a VERY old version which requires you do an update POS after a monthend.
Our versions work as follows :
10.6.xxxx = 2010 - June
11.9.xxxx = 2011 - September
12.6.xxxx = 2012 - June
Always ensure you have the latest version!

We delayed our month end and ran month end on the 4th of June. I was running version number 11.7. After the problems, I downloaded a version 12.4 but still the problem didn't go away. I can load reports for the month of April backwards & reports for sales after month end run. But if I load for any date for May. It shows zeros.

Had the same problem maar only lost reports for July going back to April,

Some technical background :
1. As we have mentioned on NUMEROUS occasions - it is critical that you have up-to-date backups - especially on Month-end!
2. The following happens when you do a Month end in 4POS :
2.1. 4POS does a backup to your hard drive.
2.2. All transactions in current month is exported to a new Month-file (Month1, month2 etc)
2.3. The Month-end number is advanced
2.4. The dayend stock figures are updated to the month files
2.5. Debtors & Creditors are aged & interest calculations done
2.6. Transactions are deleted out of current month (Pricing.mdb)
2.7. Same applies to Debtors & Creditors
Etc etc
So, it is a huge process with all sorts of possible issues that can occur.
When something does go wrong, you can then simply reload the backup, do a db repair & re-do the month-end.
Now, if you dont do this & a problem occurs - by simply carrying on - anything is possible!
For us to try & recover your database with all its links - will take days & even weeks. This will be for your account & as you will see on our support fees - we charge R10,000 for this!
Crazy NOT to do a backup! Then even more crazy NOT to check your info before you start the new month!
Again - backup, backup, backup!
