Title: Selling at Cost, shrinks & remote printers - posted by Shamill
Post by: Admin on October 08, 2012, 03:24:06 PM
IS THERE ANYWAY FOR SYSTEM NOT TO SELL BELOW COST PRICE?
WHEN DOING BARCODES WE HAVE SALES CHANNELS WHICH IS RETAIL & WHOLESALE.
ONLY THE RETAIL PRICE COMES ON BARCODES. WE WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO PRINT THE WHOLESALE LABEL AS WELL.
I HAVE SETUP SALES SHRINKS. WHEN I GO TO STOCKTAKE PRINT CURRENT STOCK VALUE & CHOOSE RETAIL VALUE THE TOTAL RAND VALUE IS INCORRECT AS IT SHOWS THE SHRINKS. WHEN I CHOOSE COST VALUE COST VALUE IS CORRECT.
REMOTE PRINTERS DOES NOT GIVE ANY INDICATION OF ERRORS LIKE PAPER LOW OR PRINTER ERROR & IT ALSO DOES NOT REROUTE TO ANOTHER PRINTER FOR ORDER TO BE DONE.

1. Selling below cost - if you use price override you have no control & it is definitely the wrong way to do it! If you use the sales channels - prices will be fixed.
2. Wholesale labels - I suppose you sell the same products but in bigger quantities you sell at a different price. Eg. Buy 1 for R5 but buy 24 & get it for R4 each. If so, we have designed a labels that includes the shrink for the labels.
3. Remote printers : We use the Windows drivers & not OPOS or other drivers controlled from the software therefore we cannot automatically detect if it is on or not & therefore can't redirect. (Our way is better for MANY reasons!)

Hi!

I realise this a very old post, but just wanted to ensure that you know that 4POS allows barcode printing per sales channel now.

You can therefore print your barcode labels specifically for your wholesale section or any other.
