Title: FingerPrint Scanner
Post by: dharlhon12 on February 23, 2013, 02:14:09 PM
Hi 4POS Team,

I'd just like to ask,  Currently, the supervisor use the security override and enter his password to revoke/reverse item(s) in cashiering. Is it possible to use the fingerprint access also? If possible, does the 4POS Point of Sale requires a specific fingerprint scanner? or we can also use any POS fingerprint scanner?

Thanks.

Very much so. We only support the IDversal fingerprint reader as it is the best in the industry!

Cheaper fingerprint reader allow the user to "Breathe" on the device & the previous fingerprint will allow access!

W.r.t. 4POSScan - I think it was an oversight on our side. I will have it added in.

Hi 4POS Team,

I search for IDversal fingerprint reader, i found one in U.are.U (digitalPersona). Is it the brand you are referring? Can you give the specific model of fingerprint scanner? We want to use the fingerpint scanner module in 4POS Scan.

Hi, im looking to implement this fingerprint but i have few questions;

1. can i login using fingerprint in another branch through teamviewer.

2. how to disable the passwords so  that only fingerprint can be accepted.

3. do you have to save all 10 fingerprints or you just use one specific fingerprint.

The fingerprint can obviously only work when you are at the pc where the fingerprint reader is attached....

You can delete the Access scan id or change it to some unknown & then your users will only use the fingerprint reader.

Remember we only support the IDversol fingerprint reader...
