Title: Non Stock item code on quotes

We often quote on non-stock items: the item may or may not be purchased thereafter. Is there a way we could have an open code where we can change descriptions and prices - but only in quotes.

As discussed previously by phone...

The short answer is no.

The problem is that if we open up the quotes to allow descriptions to be typed in.... a user can then do a quote and type a price that is not available / not correctly priced.

Eg. 5kva Generator price R299.00 or even R29.00 ... (True price R9,999.00)

As a company you will then be liable to supply said item @ the quoted price!

I understand your problem BUT, I need to look at the big picture & how it will effect all users!
