Title: Table deposit

Pub customers leave without paying and sometimes credit cards don't go through. I want to open a table and receive a deposit onto an empty table either cash or credit  or debit card ?

As discussed ...

I suggest you create a Debtors account - even with a name : Table 1 or whatever, post the deposit to the account & then finalize the final bill to the same account.
