Title: Domain Controller keeps crashing with 'Run Time Error 9'
Post by: HighlandCoffee on August 29, 2016, 10:05:56 AM
Hi there - the Domain Controller keeps crashing periodically with the error:
“Run Time error 9 -subscript out of range”

If I wait a bit, it seems to recover and I'm able to start it again. What is causing this?

As you know, you have not upgraded....

We cannot support old versions...

I downloaded the upgrade file as recommended, but it does not run.....Antivirus software reports possible Malware
On version 15.6.1022 still getting “Run Time error 9 -subscript out of range”

Besides the virus warning I also get the following error message when trying to run the upgrade file "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file name. "

An upgrade is not optional - it is the only solution.

You can run the automated conversion quite safely.

If your Anti-virus comes up with an issue - We have tested this on all Antivirus programs (Some of them show malware as 4POS now needs to register new DLL's - this is required for new processes to open cash drawers and / or pole display...)

If your Anti-virus program does not allow the installation or creates a problem, simply disable the Anti-virus for an hour or till you restart, so you can proceed.
