After the upgrade to the new ver. 4touch is slow. it discards the pos printers then it have to be reconfigure in the setup menu crt-c. I have already run the repair file that you said will fix the printing to default printers. please help why is it so slow and loose connection to the domain controller. when that happens I have to reinstall the pos printer in the touch software, this happens on the touch software on the server as well.

where can we find the release notes, or whats new items of the latest release? Somewhere else on the portal you mention a TXT file will be created as part of the extract / install / Upgrade, yet nothing on the latest release in relation was found.

Currently we are simply changing too many parts to have release notes.
As soon as we start adding new features, we will have them again.

Hi all,
I just took over a store running 4pos. Can anyone please help with an older version of backoffice to install on a Windows 10 64 bit machine. Currently running V14.8 and I'm not keen to upgrade just yet due to other hardware being old.

We do not have or offer older versions.

I just completed the latest upgrade as suggested and it contains a Trojan virus. Now my Controller does not open and as a result neither does the rest. Removed the last installed upgrade and run the upgrade again, same problem. It would apear the latest release contains virusses and now I cannot use the POS anymore..any suggestions on how to fix ?

When a new version comes out does it auto upgrade?

Yes it does prompt for an upgrade.
The intention with new upgrades is to ensure that all customers have the latest & greatest. This a new feature we added.
New upgrades will now also contain a list of changes made.
Coming up in the next week or so :
1. New WinRar backup that will be 5 times smaller than current Winzip backup
2. Deposits will now be by warehouse also.
3. Problem with Debtor's statement fixed.
4. New 4POSTouch floor layout designer added. You can also add your own pictures...
5. New 4POS Barcode label Designer added.

Hi,
I just installed the new release and now my receipt printer is not printing my receipts properly.
Its printing the 4pos logo and the total sales figures only.
How do I correct the settings as I have used the Ctrl-C settings to set for the 80mm thermal receipt printer but its still not printing the receipts at all.
Please help!

Check the width of the printer setup...

To whom it may concern,
I have been away from the POS for two days. Today when I wanted to update stock in Backoffice, it was missing. Please assist in how to get Backoffice back without having to download it from the CD.

We have quite a number of customers to get their systems upgraded.
There are no viruses! Just false positives. We have sent the 4POSexeupgrades to all renown anti-virus softwares & awaiting for them to evaluate & come back with an answer.
Also, please ensure that you have not simply deleted the shortcut on your desktop (found this on a few customer pc's....)
You can simply run the 4POS exe upgrades again...

I also noticed that the system now allows to disable and discontinue a product with stock quantities. i hope you will retain the feature that doesnt allow disabling an item with stock quantities. also payouts slip is printing tiny characters

Ps. this was never a feature - it is the users prerogative to disable any items that they wish irrespective of stock levels...
Unfortunately, most of our users, do not use stock control in heir businesses...

Hi, has the false positive virus detection not been sorted out because Windows defender still picks up a trojan and deletes my 4poscontoler as well as the upgrade file. Can not operate this way! Please advise on a fix. Thanks

When we remove order processing permissions from a user the system continues to allows the user to do transfers from warehouse to warehouse(the stock transfer wizard button will be functional) it only goes off when you remove reporting from the permissions. please may you look into it

Hi guys, last week 4POS wasnt letting me do the day-end, it kept saying software expired. I then went online and downloaded/installed the 18 Oct update.
Same error when trying to do day-end. The Day-end hasnt been done in a couple of days.
Anybody experiencing this issue and how was it resolved?
