Managing stock in two storerooms
« on: June 07, 2012, 12:16:50 PM »
Can you please assist: I have two questions:
1: I have initially sometime ago created another 'storeroom stock' warehouse in addition to the 'default warehouse'. After your adivice last year, we are keeping it simple and are opering our stock out of the 'default warehouse'. However every time I add stock to the 'default warehouse' it adds the stock to the 'store room warehouse as well, thus escalating my stock value's. I have now zeroed my store room stock and created my snapshot but when I print the 'Stock Content Value by Group' report , it shows a stock value, minus and plus in the 'storeroom' warehouse. How do I delete the 'storeroom'warehouse from my system?
2: Waitrons: I have 3 waitrons each with their own codes to operate on as well as a joint code for when they work jointly when we are busy. On their own codes I can work out their productivity & sales performance, so no problem. How can we on the joint shifts differentiate on who does what? Is it possible to default back to their own codes and have 2 or 3 screens open on the touch point for them to then operate on their own codes but together?  thank you very much for your assistance Regards Marieta

1. Stock in 2nd warehourse - I suggest you do a Stock adjustment for the 2nd warehouse & ensure that all items are set to zero.
2. Waitrons / Waiters. 4POS stores the sale with the waiter that CLOSED the table. In other words, if I open a table, but YOU close it - it will transfer the table to your name & make YOU responsible for the monies. If you want waiters to share tables - it becomes difficult to know who received the cash!

We have added a new option to allow the original waiter to STAY responsible for the monies - BUT BE CAREFUL! The average waiter will just turn around & say - It wasn't me!

Hi, I have a similar problem, except its directly linked to the stock, the waitrons each have their own stock. thus if you open a table with waitron 1, he takes the stock from his store room, but the table stays open beyond his shift, now he transfers the table to another waitron, but the stock is only taken of the store room once the tabled is cashed out.

Can you set the program to subtract the stock, as soon as the order has been placed?

Basically 5 beers from waitron 1, transfer table to waitron 2 after shift, 5 more beers (now from waitron 2's stock).
