Shelf talker labels
« on: March 09, 2013, 03:32:58 PM »
Can anyone please explain to me how to create a new shelf talker label, as the labels I'm using uses different dimensions. The default ones in 4Pos are W30 x H90.  My labels are H30 x W75.  I've tried to print in portrait and landscape mode on my printer, but the printing is being printed over 3 labels.  I'm using a datamax printer, model E-4203, and using version 13.1.1031 of 4Pos.  The barcode labels print correctly on my printer, only shelf talkers are a problem.

Trial & error unfortunately. barcode printers work on pixels so you need to experiment to get it right!

I suggest you start with company name - ensure it is in the right position etc, then save it & do another field - then save under a different name eg test2, then test3 etc.

The best barcode printer to use is an Argox printer programmed for PPLA as this is what we use for development. Might not be the cheapest, but in my opinion - the best!

When you install new labels on the Argox, you must "calibrate" the printer.

1. Insert labels
2. Switch printer off
3. Press the feed button while the printer is off & simultaneously switch the printer on.
4. Hold the feed button till the printer skips quite a number of labels.
5. Do NOT move labels back - simply tear off & start printing.

Please refer all Argox questions to your supplier of the printer.
