In your supermarket / butcher / deli you may have items that have barcode labels produced by a digital scale.
The labels normally come in the following format :
20-1001-X-01250-X
20 = Prefix as determined by the scale (Most commonly used)
1001 = Item / PLU number. This is the code you will use on the scale when printing the label. Also this will be the "Barcode" you will use in 4POS. If the code is 0123 then only enter 123 in 4POS. DO NOT use the 0.
01250 = the price of the Weighed item. R12.50.
In 4POS the following needs to be set up :
1. The item has been created with a description, "Scale Item" & "Fractions Allowed (Allow decimals)" is ticked.
2. The Barcode is set to 1001 (As the example)
3. You have done an Update POS.
