GRV file transmission
« on: September 28, 2012, 02:29:20 PM »
Is it possible to send stock items to a remote branch with stock items file so that the branch can simply upload the file and update quantities, prices etc. Certain customers want to despatch stock with an electronic file and minimise work for branch operators.

Also can a hand held be of any use in this regard whereby stock can be delievered together with a hand held held device so that the receivers upload stock electronically.

I want to understand the process on how to Import a GRV into the system. How does one generate the G.R.V file for the stock items list. Head office dispatches lets say 50 stock items. How possible is it to generate a soft copy of the formatted sheet, barcode, descr, qty, cost & selling in a short space of time. I have checked the knowledgebase, I cant get clues.

You can import any file as a GRV. The layout appears on the GRV screen :

Record,Barcode,Quantity,Description,Cost,Selling

You can either create it in notepad, with a portable scanner or with excel & save it as a CSV file.
