View or print debtor balance from 4postouch

Hi All

I apologize if this is a silly question but I cannot see were to view or print a debtors balance from 4pos touch. Often a customer likes to confirm his or her balance.

Never a silly question - only silly answers....

Backoffice - Debtors - Maintain customer details - Print Statement at the top or just view the balance.

What I would rather suggest though is that you enable "Print Customer balances" under Backoffice - POS Parameters on the bottom left. This will allow the 4pos system to print on the customer receipt the following :

Previous Balance   : R500
Todays Purchases : R50
New Balance        : R550

Now the customer can see the balance as he buys rather than once a month....

We have a small Pub with a lot of businesses around us and there are a few people who order food takeaways from us during the week.
Then often they just stop buy to pay ask what the total balance is. The problem we have is that there is not always someone who is able to access the back office but the terminal behind the bar or waiters station is always on. So there is always some one to there payments its just viewing a customer balance doesn't seem possible.

Mmmm

I suppose we can add the balance on the Debtor Payment button. The question is would that not open the system for fraud again?

Eg. A cashier goes to check the balance on someone's account to see if they would notice an extra beer....

What do the other user's think?

I am a member at our local ski-boat club and the system they use(Not sure of the Name) seems to work well.
Each member gets issued a magnetic swipe card that is linked to there account. Now there they only work with a credit balance so you have to load money onto the card before you can use the card. So if you order a drink they then use the card to process the order against your account and apparently the only way to put something against an account is with the card.(This I think is how they get around the security issue)
Often when I get to the club I ask for a balance so I know that ill have enough. Again I give the bartender the card and he swipes it and gives me a balance print out.(Again he needs my card to print my balance total)
This is the same kind of scenario I am trying to achieve.
