You can't have your cake & eat it....

Either you allow a person to be a "Stock Take administrator" or not.

It is like saying - here is the keys to the safe for deposits, but don't take any money out....

Hahahahaha Admin,
I do get you clearly on your example, see on Point Of Sale a cashier is allowed to sell and receive cash but you can either restrict them from doing Payouts abd even Declarations. So I want to be able to allow a supervisor to receive stock and also do stock take but I don't want anyone to do stock adjustments.

Please consider this, stock adjustments is a very sensitive area of the business.

I hear you but don't agree.

if i am to allow a user to do GRV's, but not stock take adjustments, they will simply capture the wrong qty in the GRV & then take the stock home.

You might now say, but then the invoice wont balance...

But, they will simply enter the wrong quantity & change the prices so the invoice balances....

There is no substitute for the right stuff!

You don't trust them - don't allow them!

Mr/Mrs Admin,
May the 4pos Technical Team atleast find a solution to this, pls I would be happier if you guys put this matter to consideration as your product is great and provides almost/total solution in retail industry. May the option of stock adjustment be also restricted independently in the back office permissions as much as being able to chose if one can terminate controller.

Thank you!

The issue below is also something which I feel should be looked into. A stock admin should have an option not to adjust overall stock, but just enter stock as that can be monitored through stock print-outs reports and stock invoices.

Whenever we get a request for 4POS changes, we do look at it in depth.

The problem is that if you have allowed a person to work on your stock system in 4POS - or in any other system for that matter - there is a level of trust that is assumed.

So, if I was a crooked employee, I could simply do a return on a GRV to achieve the same result as entering an incorrect stock quantity.

The responsibility still remains with us as owners to determine whether the financials in out business makes sense.

I suggest you look at your processes within the business to ensure that the business runs optimally.
