One of my POS PC in a network with 7 workstations has just crushed (Hard disk failure - needs replacing),
I had not done cashup on this machine, so I cant do day-end and Im stuck, how do i get out of this situation????

As I tried to tell you telephonically at 17h22 today - 24 hours after you crashed & after support hours for customers without contracts....

Simply disable the POS machine in question to enable you to do a dayend.

Store setup - Setup POS - Double click on the POS machine & click on disable.

Hi Markus, I forgot to thank you, yes that worked well and i've been working nicely.

The machine has come back from repairs and comes with this error " -2147217843 - cannot start your application. The workgroup information file is missing or opened exclusively by another user." when starting 4POS touch.

The machine however goes on to open POS despite the error.

The same error shows up when u try and do Waitron Cashup.

How can I resolve?

The workgroup error sometimes comes up when :

1. You are running an old version with a different database.
2. Your c:\4posserver\secured.mdw file is corrupt. Should be 168kb! Nothing else.
3. Your ODBC connection is wrong - maybe remove it & reopen backoffice to create.
