U are U 4500 fingerprinter not recognised.

Hello

Is anyone able to help me resolve this problem:

I have recently purchased 2 U are U 4500 fingerprint readers for 4POS.

I went to the internet and dowloaded the driver:

I then resrated my PC and opened the Back Office, followed by Store Setup and Security - Maintain Employee Details - Selected an Employee - Fingerprint Registration and Start.

I continue to receive the message "Driver/Device missing for Finger Print Reader".

I have re-downloaded the driver and have checked the USB port, yet it still wont work.

Is there another driver that can be suggested to get the driver working or is there something that I am missing?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

have you tried to see if Device manager can recogn the device..? if yes try to update it in the Device manager it should work.

Also in 4POS Backoffice - store setup - general parameters - option 12 - ensure you use Platinum SDK...

I have download the driver but when in Back office I get an error message that reads "The fingerprint reader was disconnected" even tho the reader was not disconnected. I bought the reader to register my staff fingers but cant register anyone's finger. Please advice on how to fix.
