"Create Recomended Order" not including "Negative Stock" items.
« on: October 26, 2016, 10:44:32 AM »
Maybe I am missing something here.
We have certain items in the bottle store, which we allow to go into the negative.
When we run a recommended order from a supplier, the order does not take into consideration the negative amount. If an item is -1, and the minimum stock level is 2, recommended order should order 3?

Your theory sounds on the surface correct.

The reorder level is the level where the system will mark the item as ready to order.

The order quantity is what it will then order.

The system does not take negatives into consideration as it is not "possible". Cant sell if you did not have it in the first place...

Maybe you can advise then?
I get an order from one of my customers, a pub down the road every Monday morning. I then process the order, which has o be delivered by Wednesday evening. Stock can then go into a negative. I then place an order with my supplier on Monday evening, based on the "Create Recommended Order", which is delivered on Tuesday morning. Negative stock levels are replenished, and I then deliver?
