« on: January 31, 2011, 04:41:25 PM »
I need to add a floor layout of the tables in a restaurant so that my waiters can identify the customers easily.
I already have the jpg layout done but need to configure 4pos to read it.
Please help

I did it a long time ago and I'm no boffin so if the info isn't correct, please excuse me:

I created a floor plan on Paint and saved it as a GIF file with the name 'layout' under the 4POS folder in the c:\ drive. If you click on My Computer, double click on Local disk (c:) and then double click on the 4POS icon. It should be saved there amongst the other files.

Hope this helps.

Dawie, thanks for trying to help!! Appreciate it that we all stand together in this!

The correct file is c:\4pos\layout.gif

The following is an extract out of the 4POSWhatsnew.txt file in your 4POSupgrades folder:

Did you know ?

To print your logo on the A4-invoices, simply copy your logo to the 4POS folder with a name called 4POSLogo.bmp

To show your own background on the Touchscreen (Or even advertising), save the background in \4POS as a file called
      Layout.gif

To automatically show the CURRENT dashboard on the BackOffice - Press Alt-R.

To show your Empty shortcut keys on 4POSScan, press Ctrl-T.

To show the keyboard layout in 4POSScan, press Shift-Ctrl-Alt.
